Scholarship awards for arts programming.
Arts & Culture is a powerful tool that ignites our imagination, nurtures our spirit, and fosters connections within the community. Art also plays a crucial role in driving academic and social success for children and teens. Increased access to the arts leads to significant educational benefits, particularly for ESL students, students with special needs, and those economically disadvantaged. Students with greater access to community-based arts education showed fewer disciplinary issues, improved writing skills, and gained a deeper sense of compassion for others.
Compassion is a core value at NLArts. We believe every child deserves to experience the joy, empowerment, and courage that comes from creative expression. The community fundraisers and family events NLArts hosts throughout the year help ensure the lowest possible cost for our out-of-school programming. A portion of these funds are allocated to Scholarship Awards, providing additional assistance for families in need.
