Stick Mobile
Hello again families and friends!
Staying home doesn't mean staying inside all the time...next time you are out strolling (not to close to others!) see if you can find a stick or two that you like and then try this project!
What you need:
A stick (a chopstick works too if you can't go out)
String (any kind is fine - twine, yarn, etc.)
Glue stick, Scissors, Paper
1. Tie three pieces of string to your stick (more or less work too).
2. Cut out two of each of a variety of shapes from your paper.
3. Place one piece of paper behind the string, add glue and then make a string sandwich by placing the other shape on top (it doesn't have to line up perfectly!)
You can tie the top ends of the strings together to make a hanger for your mobile, or just place it on a window edge and watch it move. You can decorate your shapes if you feel like drawing or adding words of love and encouragement as well!
This project made us think of our good friends at the Center for Art in Wood...be sure to check out their awesome Wood Shed online to see what wood artists are up to these days and get ideas for more projects.
